To my loyal followers,
Most of you know that I used to do a weekly "Commodities Report" for a popular financial podcast program, and I can't begin to tell you how flattered I've been by all the e-mail from listeners asking what happened, why I'm no longer on the air every week, and why I haven't launched my own podcast program by now. The short answer is because I needed to find the right partner. I've found him, and so I'm now pleased to announce the launch of Macro Voices, a new free weekly podcast that will feature both my own market commentary and weekly interviews with the brightest minds in the world of finance and macroeconomics. Investing legend Jim Rogers gave us our first feature interview, and that interview is available for your listening pleasure right now!
I'd also like to introduce Nathan Egger, my partner in this undertaking. I think you're really going to enjoy the fresh perspective that Nathan brings to the table. He will be the show's producer and my co-host. He has some fantastic ideas for involving you, our listeners, through an online discussion forum that will allow you to discuss each show with us and other listeners, and to request future guests and topics for the program. Nathan will have more to say about that "on the air" in our first few episodes.
Macro Voices will always be free of charge, but I do need to ask for your help. Our ability to recruit the very best minds in the business as interview guests depends more on the size of our listener base than any other factor. The really famous guys don't have time for this unless we can show them access to a significant audience. I was able to get the legendary Jim Rogers for you as our first guest because I've known Jim thru e-mail for years. But if you want more guests of Jim's stature in the industry, we're going to need to grow our subscription list fast. So please, if you use iTunes, subscribe to Macro Voices for free right now to have Macro Voices delivered to your mobile device each week automatically.
If you use another "feed reader", you can get our RSS feed. Or you can just go to MacroVoices.com and register for our discussion forum. My final request is that you help us put the message out as widely as possible. Please feel free to post this e-mail message on any Internet forum or social media outlet of your choosing, and please tell your friends about Macro Voices! Nathan and I are really excited about this project, but we need your help to make it a reality.
Finally, the part you've been waiting for: Click this link to listen to our first episode featuring an in-depth interview with Jim Rogers. But remember, this link is just for a one-time listen. Subscriptions are free, and we really encourage you to subscribe if you enjoy what you hear.
Thanks for your time, and I really hope you enjoy our new program. This will be a listener-driven program, and Nathan and I welcome your feedback and suggestions. We've already set up a Suggestion Box thread on our listener discussion forums for exactly that purpose.
